Typical characteristics would include using animals or inanimate objects as characters. Morals, ideals and lessons are often included in this genre. Be sure to add appropriate material, and remember that the readers of this genre may be very young. Simple English would be appreciated as your audience may, in fact, only read at a 3rd grade level.
